Blessing of the Vine 2007 – Wadmalaw Island, SC

Irvin-House Vineyards will host its third annual Blessing of the Vine Festival. Wine enthusiasts and their families will witness a ceremony of the blessing of the vine by the priest, while admiring the charming setting of Charleston’s only vineyards and winery.

Wine Tastings: Visitors will have an opportunity to sample the winery’s five labels: Live Oak Reserve, Magnolia, Mullet Hall Red, Palmetto and Tara Gold.
Stomping on the Grapes: Experience how wine was made centuries ago.
Traditional Local Food: Guests of the Vineyards will enjoy some delicious barbeque from the award-winning Black-Jack Barbeque Team.
Live Music: Charleston’s favorite beach band, The Coppertones, will perform favorite tunes. Bring your dancing shoes!
Arts and Crafts from local artists and craft-makers will be available for sale.

Irvin-House Vineyards is the only winery in the Charleston area and one of the only estate wineries in South Carolina.
The winery is located approximately 20 minutes from downtown Charleston. From Maybank Highway on Johns Island continue on Maybank to Wadmalaw Island. About 1 1/2 miles after bridge, watch for a curve, then bear right onto Bears Bluff Road. Travel 8 1/2 miles – the vineyard’s driveway is marked by two stucco columns on the right.

Sixth Annual Taste of the Town – Summerville, S.C

Celebrate the “taste” of fall at this fun-filled family event.  Come sample delicious food prepared by Summerville’s top restaurants in historic Town Square.  Enjoy all that Summerville has to offer while listening to live music and exploring the quaint shops in our beautiful historic district.  Children will enjoy our kids’ zone, where they can sample kid-friendly fare and play in jump castles and slides.  Also, the Azalea Sertoma Club will present a cheerleading exhibition.  Admission is free.  (843) 873-2931

Harvest Festival – Charleston, S.C.

In the olden days families fall and the beginning of harvest was a time of thanks and celebration. This fall festival on St Johns Island is packed with fun-filled activities for the fall season. It features a crafters market, delicious countryfood, hay-rides and children’s activities, live bluegrass music and much more. Kids activities include a pony rides, lassoing contests, pumpkin decorating, and scarecrow designing.

The Art of Decorative Dining- St. Augustine, Florida

Learn about elegant dining displays at this presentation featuring twenty designer table settings by noted local hosts and designers displayed in five historic houses. Each setting demonstrates how to create a special and attractive tablescape using an artful mix of affordable and collectible antiques as well as treasured family heirlooms. The Art of Decorative Dining is from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Kenneth W. Dow Museum of Historic Houses (formerly Old St. Augustine Village) located at 149 Cordova Street in St. Augustine.

The Fourth Annual Chocoholic Frolic – Savannah, GA
