The week-long Savannah Jazz Festival, September 23-30, is one of the largest and most popular of the Savannah festivals presented by the Coastal Jazz Association.
The 26th Savannah Jazz Festival features the best in international, national, regional and local jazz talent. Enjoy all types of jazz, from Dixieland, traditional swing, straight-ahead and bop to melodic standards, and funky down-home “gutbucket†blues.
This year Jazz Festival expands outside downtown Savannah. As usual, the festival will still be taking place Thursday through Sunday at Forsyth Park ; but an extra evening has been added on Wednesday, September 26th. The festival will move south to the Armstrong Atlantic State University Fine Arts Auditorium for that night’s festivities. Sponsored in part by the City of Savannah’s Department of Cultural Affairs, the festival is free and open to the public.
