‘Where the River Ends” – Book Signing in St Marys

Jekyll Island Buggy Expo (JIBE)

The Jekyll Island Buggy Expo is a kite buggy rally and fun-fly for kite buggy enthusiasts and all power and traction kiters. The staging area will be on Kite Beach in front of Blackbeard’s Seafood Restaurant. Kite buggy pilots will get a chance to cruise one of the best kite friendly beaches on the East Coast. Members of the public interested in trying their hand at power kiting are welcome to attend free demo clinics on Saturday and Sunday afternoons between 1:00 and 4:00 pm.
The event is being produced by Coastal Wind Sports, Inc. and all proceeds will benefit the Georgia Sea Turtle Center.

Ripe for Change – Brunswick, GA

As part of the Southern Circuit Film Series, Ripe for Change is screened in Brunswick on Friday Sept 26th at 7 pm. This documentary explores the intersection of food and politics over the last 30 years, highlighting debates over agriculture and sustainability that have profound economic and environmental implications for all of America.

Turtle Dance Screening in Savannah

Don’t miss the world premier of the new documentary, Turtle Dance, a project of local Coastal filmmakers, Jim and Mari Carswell with Spyhop Productions during the Gray’s Reef Ocean Film Festival. The story is about the unique and holistic partnership that is bringing the world’s most endangered sea turtle, the Kemp’s Ridley, back from the brink of extinction. It’s an amazing story of hope and just how much power we do have as individuals to help save an endangered species.
