Tybee St. Patrick’s Day Parade – Tybee Island, Georgia
Get a jump on St. Patrick’s Day at Savannah’s Beach. Here on Tybee Island, we start parties early – so they can last longer! In fact, our 2008 St. Patrick’s Day Parade begins at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 8 (six days before Savannah’s). Bring your friends and family and gather to watch over 75 units parade down Butler Avenue. SCAD Alumni Win International Animation Award – Savannah, Georgia
SAVANNAH, Ga. – Two Savannah College of Art and Design broadcast design and motion graphics alumni, Anh Vu (B.F.A, 2007) and William Campbell (B.F.A, 2007), won the Visual Effects Award for best and most innovative film in visual animation at the ninth annual Animex International Festival of Animation and Computer Games in Middlesbrough, England Feb. 4-8.
Volunteer for the Dolphin Project – Savannah, Georgia
The Dolphin Project needs volunteers to collect data and photograph the dorsal fins of Coastal Georgia dolphins for research. Especially needed are boats and their captains for quarterly surveys. Enjoy wonderful weekends on the water, with great people and Georgia dolphins! Required, basic 90-minute training sessions will be held at Armstrong Atlantic University in Savannah on March 8th at 9:00AM. Training is required for the next TDP survey scheduled for April 19-20th.
