Champboat Grand Prix Finals – Savannah, GA

ChampboatThe F1-ChampBoat Series is coming to historic Savannah on Nov. 3-4, for the season championship finale of the 2007 ChampBoat Grand Prix Series. This will be the 2nd appearance for the F1-ChampBoat Series in Savannah which hopes to make Savannah the long term season finale stop on the tour.

The F1-ChampBoat Grand Prix Series features F1 boats that reach speeds of 135 miles an hour around multiple pin race circuits and pulling eye-popping, 6G corners in the fastest-turning race vehicles in the world.

“We are delighted to be making our second appearance in Savannah,” said ChampBoat Series President Mike Schriefer of Charlotte, NC. “I’ve been coming down here for a few years and I just love it here, we hope to make this a permanent stop on our championship tour. Fans need to understand this is a world class racing event, so the best of the best will be in Savannah. I would highly recommend to any sports fan to come down to the convention center and check it out and meet the drivers”.

SCAD School of Performing Arts presents Pulitzer Prize-winning drama “Proof” – Savannah, GA

Audioform Performs A Pre-Turkey Concert In Savannah

(Savannah, Ga.) The Coastal Jazz Association knows your Sundays are important to you; especially the one right before Thanksgiving. That is why the CJA is proud to present you with a concert on November 18th that you’ll not likely soon forget. The acid-jazz-funk sound of Audioform. (Dare we call this a “Yam” session?)

Audioform plays soul jazz funk, or funky soul jazz which is augmented by a big horn section and a groove-oriented rhythm section.. Familiar touchstones abound, including 1960s’ Blue Note artists like Lou Donaldson and late-era Lee Morgan, the big combo jazz of Charles Mingus and Tito Puente, Curtis Mayfield wah-wah guitar, and ’70s funk acts like Tower of Power and Parliament.
