VivaBOpal (Anna Sophia Robb) is a lonely 10-year-old girl who has just moved to a small town in Florida with her preacher father. She adopts an orphaned dog, Winn-Dixie, named after the supermarket where she found him. The many adventures they encounter create an inseparable bond between Opal and her beloved companion which unites the townspeople and helps her own troubled relationship with her father. Because of Winn-Dixie also stars, Jeff Daniels, Cicely Tyson and Dave Matthews.
