Art Adventures for Kids at Cummer – Jacksonville

The Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens offer classes in painting, printmaking, collage and construction with changing themes for kids 6-12 on Saturdays. Sign up for one class or sign up for them all. Hands on History with the Jekyll Island Museum

Chortles and shouts. Racing feet. Sticky fingers. These sights and sounds might seem unexpected in standard house museum environments. But this summer the Jekyll Island Museum aims to engage the youngest members of the community in the wonders of the past.

So this July kids on Jekyll Island are having a hoot. Whether throwing atlatls, making butter, racing with barrel hoops, becoming stained glass artists, manning windmills, building bridges, searching for architectural wonders, or jumping on pony hops, they are discovering Jekyll Island’s historic district as an active learning environment.

Palmetto Bluff Introduces 173-Acre Equestrian Facility – Bluffton, SC

Palmetto Bluff, a 20,000 acre recreation and residential development near Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, has introduced a 5-star level equestrian facility for use by guests at the 5-star Inn at Palmetto Bluff as well as residents of the area. Having this type of equestrian facility is rare for resort properties.

Palmetto Bluff has introduced Longfield Stables, an impressive 173-acre equestrian facility that will be available at the 20,000 acre residential and recreation community and for guests at the 5-star Inn at Palmetto Bluff.

Anastasia State Park’s Annual Beach Bash – St Augustine, Fl

Enjoy a day of sand castle building, scavenger hunts, nature walks, and other fun family activities. Beach Bash celebrates the beginning of summer with numerous activities and fun. Sand castles must be all-natural in keeping with the park setting. Prizes will be awarded!

This event takes place in the park from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 7th.
