The Old Florida Museum is offering its first Black History Home School Experience on Monday, February 4, 2008. This streamlined version of the popular educational programs for school groups focuses on the rich heritage of African-Americans and the crucial roles they played during often-overlooked periods of Black history.

The exhibit, honoring the mysterious countries of the Amazon, features a piranha, an anteater, four-eye fish, an anaconda, poison dart frogs and a variety of other exotic South American animals. Puppets up to four feet tall are among the nearly thirty characters performed by one person in the beloved holiday tale of a young girl and her adventures with the Nutcracker Prince.
