Harvest Festival – Charleston, S.C.

In the olden days families fall and the beginning of harvest was a time of thanks and celebration. This fall festival on St Johns Island is packed with fun-filled activities for the fall season. It features a crafters market, delicious countryfood, hay-rides and children’s activities, live bluegrass music and much more. Kids activities include a pony rides, lassoing contests, pumpkin decorating, and scarecrow designing.

Young children will be able to go through a “scare-free” walking loop filled with magical fairytale scenes, music and sparkling lights, great for young children and light hearted adults. The Enchanted Forest is from 6 to 9 p.m. at Anastasia State Park and is $4 per person. Please enter the park at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre located at 1340 A1A South.

Haunted Hayride – St. Augustine, Florida.

animated witchTake an old-fashioned hayride and discover the nighttime beauty of the maritime hammock while meeting haunting goblins of the forest, spooks from sandy graves and other denizens of the dark. The fun starts at Anastasia State Park (please enter the park at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre). The haunted hayride takes place from 7 to 10 p.m. and admission is $7 per person. Tickets will be sold from 7 to 9 p.m. For the faint of heart, we have the Enchanted Forest, a scare-free walking loop filled with magical fairytale scenes, music and sparkling lights, fun activities and programs.

Halloween Costume Parade and Trick-or-Treating, St. Augustine, Fla.

Bring the little ghosts, goblins and fairies for some Halloween to the Ancient City Tour’s Annual Costume Parade and Trick-or-Treating in historic St. Augustine. The fun begins at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 28, with the parade that departs form the clock tower at the St. Augustine Visitors Center and proceeds up St. George Street to the Plaza de la Constitucion, where costume judging will take place. Then from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., the Downtown shops, museums and attraction will offer treats for tricks. The St. Augustine Information Center is located at the corner of Castillo Drive and Avenida Menendez, across for the Fort. The Halloween Costume Parade and Trick-or-Treating are free.
