We told you about it earlier this month, and I just wanted to point out that the event, “Eat Up Downtown” is going on in Jacksonville this week. This sounds like a great way to try out some new restaurants. First Coast news Morning Show visited one of the restaurants downtown, the Wine Cellar, to find out more.

Screening Update – The Altman Series – Jacksonville, Florida

August 17, 2007 by Susanne Talentino

I just received this email from Tim regarding the upcoming screening of the Altman film “3 women”.

“I am sorry to say that Criterion Pictures sent us a 35mm print that is not presentable at least by my standards. IFilm Fest don’t think Altman intended for his film to be in pink & white and scratched up.
Anyways…our friends over at MGM have come through with a nice print of another early Altman film:
THIEVES LIKE US starring Keith Carradine and Shelley Duvall.

I apologize that you won’t be seeing 3 WOMEN but THIEVES LIKE US is another  ignored Altman gem.
Hope you will all make it out for this extra special screening… SUNDAY at 1PM at San Marco Theatre
Cheers!
Tim “
