Toddler Third Thursday Telfair’s Jepson Center for the Arts – Savannah, GA

This program is designed especially for preschoolers ages 3-5 and their adult companions. Your toddler will explore artwork from both our permanent and temporary exhibitions followed by a visit to the new Jepson Education Studios for a fun-filled art project relating to their tour. Colors, shapes, and material vocabulary will be encouraged. Each month will involve a different tour and project. Time to play in ArtZeum is included. Bring the masterpieces home and see your child smile with creative pride! Registration and adult supervision required. Please call Torrey Stifel, Studio Coordinator at 790-8823 to register. Pre-payment can be arranged for your convenience.

Secrets of the Amazon – Charleston, SC

Time is running out to discover the Amazon at the Aquarium’s changing exhibit, Secrets of the Amazon! The exhibit, honoring the mysterious countries of the Amazon, features a piranha, an anteater, four-eye fish, an anaconda, poison dart frogs and a variety of other exotic South American animals. All of the excitement of the foreign lands of South America will only be at the Aquarium until December 31. Don’t miss your last opportunity to discover the Secrets of the Amazon! “The Nutcracker” by Becky’s Box of Puppets – Charleston, SC

Dec. 7 – “The Nutcracker.” Presented by Becky’s Box of Puppets. 10 a.m. (sold out) and 11:30 a.m. G.M. Darby Building, Mt. Pleasant. Puppets up to four feet tall are among the nearly thirty characters performed by one person in the beloved holiday tale of a young girl and her adventures with the Nutcracker Prince. Show lasts about 45 minutes. Groups are welcome.
