Isles of Palms Front Beach Haunted, Movie Event – Charleston, S.C.

On Friday, October 19, 2007 at 7:30PM on the Beach at 1118 Ocean Boulevard or directly behind the Front Beach public restrooms, the Isle of Palms Recreation Department will present a Ghostly Tide Movie, featuring the PG rated animated movie “Monster House”. Participants may bring lawn chairs, blankets, non-alcoholic beverages and refreshments out to the beach. Parking is available in the City’s municipal parking lots. This is a free event.

The 20th Annual Town of Mt. Pleasant Children’s Day Festival – Charleston, S.C.

Mount PleasantThe 20th Annual Town of Mt. Pleasant Children’s Day Festival on Sunday, Oct. 14 at the Park West Recreation Complex in Mt. Pleasant, SC. The event will run from noon to 5 p.m. and admission is free. Since this festival is FOR kids, it is packed with a long list of exciting activities for the young ones.

Climbing wall, inflatables, sports games, face painting, entertainers, petting zoo and pony rides. Special performances will be given by local dance and gymnastics academies, fencing and karate schools and cheerleading squads. Also, unicyclist and juggler Mark Lippard, King of Kazoo Rick Hubbard, Magician Ken Carrington will perform, and there will be a special appearance by Roarks Reptiles.
