Indians of the Estuary Kayak tour – St Augustine, FL

Paddle back in time and discover the life ways of the Timucuan Indians and their relationship to the land that they loved. Explore the estuary from Washington Oaks State Park with a professional naturalist and enjoy stories about the Timucuans and the important role the Matanzas Estuary played in their everyday lives. Along our journey, we will stop at an island refuge and visit a Timucuan encampment and learn more about their clothing, shelter, hunting and fishing techniques, tools, weapons and the native foods that helped sustain them. This tour is from 9 a.m. to noon and is $60 per person. This fee includes park admission, guided tour, catered lunch, and photos from the tour.

Creatures of the Night – St. Augustine, FL

Come dressed in your favorite costume to the St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park and we will provide the candy, a creepy creature experience, animal trading cards, and a great time! Young ghosts

and goblins can wander the wild walkway and encounter costumed animal keepers with creepy creatures and candy! There will be an alligator feeding show and a drawing for free annual passes and other prizes.

Fish or Treat at the South Carolina Aquarium

Beauty and beasts in all shapes and sizes will join the aquatic animals at the South Carolina Aquarium’s annual Halloween event: Fish or Treat. Member’s can “fish or treat” throughout the Aquarium, enjoy divers of the deep lurking in the Great Ocean Tank, boogie at the monster mash dance party and join in many other ghoulish games. Families are invited to come dressed in their most creative costumes and participate in our costume contest. Tickets are $5 for Members. Reservations are required.
