Kid’s Saltwater Fishing Workshop – Palm Coast, Fl
A Florida Park Ranger will illustrate some of the techniques anglers use to catch fish and the importance of conservation and safety. Participants will learn to identify saltwater fish species commonly caught in this area, and will learn how to use a fishing rod & reel. Each workshop will be hands-on with participants fishing along the bank of the Intracoastal Waterway while applying their newly learned skills. All fishing gear will be furnished for each participant to use during the workshop, including complete rod & reel, fishing tackle and bait. This workshop is open for ages 8-15 years old and the fee is $20.00 per participant, which includes the park entrance fee.

GTM Research Reserve National Estuaries Day
Bring the family for a fun and educational day when the GTM Research Reserve celebrates National Estuaries Day! Included in the festivities will be live animal presentations, touch tanks, kayak tour (reservations required), nature crafts for kids of all ages, estuary games and activities, and presentations throughout the day – some with live animals!

Jekyll Island Buggy Expo (JIBE)
The Jekyll Island Buggy Expo is a kite buggy rally and fun-fly for kite buggy enthusiasts and all power and traction kiters. The staging area will be on Kite Beach in front of Blackbeard’s Seafood Restaurant. Kite buggy pilots will get a chance to cruise one of the best kite friendly beaches on the East Coast. Members of the public interested in trying their hand at power kiting are welcome to attend free demo clinics on Saturday and Sunday afternoons between 1:00 and 4:00 pm.
The event is being produced by Coastal Wind Sports, Inc. and all proceeds will benefit the Georgia Sea Turtle Center.
