The South Carolina Heritage Trust Site at Myrtle Beach State Park protects a remnant of that forest. Touch, see, hear, and smell your way through this special forest as we learn about the diversity of plants and animals that call this unique and rare habitat home. We will walk about 1 mile as we enjoy a stroll down the Sculptured Oak Nature Trail. Appropriate for ages 12 and up.

Tickets are now on sale at www.sacarc.org, so grab your Mardi Gras mask and join the Springfield Animal Care & Rescue Club for the 2nd annual “Mardi Paws Ball” on Saturday, Feb. 2nd from 7PM to 11PM at the Karpeles Manuscript Library (101 W. 1st Street at Laura Street) in downtown Jacksonville!
Tickets are $35 and include dinner by Harry’s Seafood Bar & Grille, drinks and live music. All proceeds benefit the Springfield Animal Care and Rescue Club, a non-profit organization dedicated to the care and rescue of homeless animals in the historic neighborhood. SACARC is a committee of the Springfield Improvement Association and Womans Club.
