Women in the Outdoors – St. Augustine, Fla.

Women in the Outdoors seminars presented by the National Wild Turkey Foundation at Gander Mountain, 550 Belz Outlet Blvd., St. Augustine. Participants must be 14 or older. Courses include archery, GPS Basics, Camping 101, ATV, gun ownership and care, Dutch oven cooking and more. The seminar costs $55 and includes a light lunch and breakfast. COASTFEST 2007 brings together over 80 interactive environmental, educational and resource organizations from around the southeast. COASTFEST is a family-oriented environmental festival where participants learn about Georgia‘s coastal resources and have some fun at the same time! Each year over 7,000 visitors enjoy the festival.

Kayak Fishing Trip – St Marys, Georgia

Kayak to a nearby sandbar at low tide to fish for trout, reds, flounder and whiting. Catch and release only. Poles and bait will be provided. Participants older than 16 must have a valid Georgia fishing license (available at the park office). Reservations are required and space is limited. Fee plus $3 parking. 912-882-5256.

Experience a visual journey as you travel through 20 fresh water estuaries that grace the sweeping curve of Wisconsin’s Lake at the GTM Research Reserve Environmental Education Center. “A String of Pearls –Wisconsin’s Estuaries Along Lake Superior” will be shown on the big screen at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays during September in the Center’s auditorium.

Directions: Off A1A 17 miles south of JTB or 8 miles north of Vilano Beach
