We’ve heard rumors that there are still a few tickets left for our July 28, Dinner and a Movie, held at the Gypsy  Comedy Club on Anastasia Blvd.. The Grand, a comedy by writer/director Zak Penn, is set around an international poker tournament and stars Werner Herzog, Woody Harrelson, Ray Liotta, and Ray Romano. The ticket price ($25 plus tax and tip) includes a buffet dinner, a movie, and a $5 donation (thanks) to the St. Johns Cultural Council.  Dinner starts at 6p.m. and the movie starts at  7:00p.m. Read more about the event here .

New Plays Begin July 23 During Brookgreen Gardens’ Cool Summer Evenings!

Murrells Inlet, SC- Bring your own blanket or chair and enjoy live theater performances on Wednesdays, July 23 through August 13, when two short comedies, The Bridal Path and Fixing Up Mom make their debut during Cool Summer Evenings at Brookgreen Gardens. The plays, written by local playwright Kathryn Martin and directed by Pat Tukey, Vice-President of Development at Brookgreen, will begin at 7 p.m. in the Live Oak Allee. The Bridal Path takes a comedic look at a couple’s preparation for their big day, and Fixing Up Mom has adult daughter trying her best to help mother with another chance at love and romance. Savannah Ranks Among Top Ten Travel Cities

Savannah was ranked No. 9 on Travel + Leisure’s list of Top Ten Cities in the Continental U.S. and Canada, according to the magazine’s 2008 World’s Best Awards readers’ recent survey.

This is the first time that Savannah has made it into the top ten in the thirteen years of the Travel + Leisure Magazine’s survey.

Jazz Festival Coming Up – Savannah, Georgia
