Drawdown: The MOCA Drawing Marathon
This is a serious endurance event for the serious artist – an night owl. Eight hours. Paper. Graphite. Creativity. Stamina. It’s a drawing throwdown for the last artist standing. Here’s the deal. Come to MOCA’s Education Center studios in the dark of night on Friday. Draw. Draw. Draw. Leave your best stuff at sunrise. Go home and collapse. The MOCA elves retrieve your magnum opuses, artfully curate them and pin them up for public display in the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida Education Gallery. You come back fully rested with your friends, prospective patrons, etc. on Sunday for a light reception and viewing through August 1.
Are you an artist looking for a line on your resume? Are you a compulsive doodler seeking validation? Do you believe in the power of art and caffeine to prove to the world that your creative vision is awesome?
Can you prove it? Go the distance.
To register, call Marshall Adams, (904) 366-6911 ×204. Spaces are limited! $25 participation fee.
