Butterflies – Up Close and Personal – Jacksonville, Florida

The 7th Annual Butterfly Festival, a celebration of gossamer-winged creatures takes place on Saturday, April 26, from noon to 5 p.m. Have a close encounter with native Florida butterflies.

Activities will include a butterfly release, live music, delicious food, guest lecturers, butterflies, vendors and fun things for children to do! Our guest will be able to roam the nature trails, shop at the booths and learn about the different environmental agencies from our community!

Also, Flights of Fancy Butterfly House reopens May 1, at Tree Hill Nature Center.

Legends on the Green – St. Augustine, Florida

The fifth-annual Legends on the Green, hosted by the Jaguar Car Club of North Florida, will be held at World Golf Village along the Walk of Champions Saturday, April 19 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The show will benefit the Shriner’s Children’s Hospitals and will feature classic, contemporary and exotic British cars as well as a judged JCNA Jaguar Concours. Jacksonville Film Festival at the Landing – Jacksonville, Florida

Jacksonville, Fla. (April 14, 2008) The Jacksonville Film Festival season will begin in style with a website launch and media kick-off celebration for the public this Friday, April 18, at The Jacksonville Landing.

“Gator Country” radio DJ Amadeus will preside over the evening’s festivities, which will begin promptly at 5:30pm and last until 7:30pm. After the unveiling of the festival’s new website, trailers and short films will be shown from nearly 30 of the films that have been confirmed. In the main courtyard, attendees will be treated to live performances by the bands “Str8 Up” and “Out Of Hand.” Signature “Film Festival Cocktails” will be available, courtesy of Bacardi and Grey Goose.

Giant Insects at the MOSH – Jacksonville, Florida
