First Friday Art Walk – St Augustine, Florida

Join one of St. Augustine’s most popular cultural events on the first Friday of every month from 5 to 9 p.m. Enjoy the latest exhibits, music, entertainment and refreshments at over 20 participating galleries. Tours begin at Rembrandtz Fine Gifts for Fun People, 131 King Street. St. Augustine Sightseeing Trains and Old Town Trolleys offer attendees a complimentary shuttle service to most of the galleries. Night of the Living Dead Creator Speaks Out – Jacksonville, Florida

The famous movie “Night of the Living Dead” is turning 40 years. Friends of the Fest in Jacksonville is celebrating the big birthday with a special “Talkies” event on February 1st, 2008.

The horror movie will be screened in 35mm on February 1st, then on February 2nd at 9:30 the movie will be screen again while George Romero himself provides live commentary throughout the film, sort of a real-life DVD commentary track.
So, if you are a horror fan, mark your calendar for the the event of the year. But Friends of the Fest didn’t stop with the screenings. They went all out and arranged an exclusive dinner for 25 hardcore fans with the legendary filmmaker George Romero. This sounds like a great Christmas gift for the horror movie fan – buy your tickets today because these tickets will disappear fast!
