Historic Weapons Firing Demonstration – St Augustine, Fl

Take the National Park Service’s ferry on Saturday, Nov. 3, to Rattlesnake Island and experience daily military life at Fort Matanzas – the 18th century Spanish fort that guarded the southern approach to St. Augustine. From 10:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., authentically clad re-enactors will demonstrate Spanish muskets and cannons at the fort.

Open House at the Spa – Ponte Vedra, Florida

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, FL – Time will stand still this November at the Spa at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club. The resort’s award-winning spa boutique will host a series of free open houses to showcase youth-enhancing products.
From serums to correct the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and aging to gels and boosters to stimulate collagen production and improve the appearance of scars, the five open houses will cover a wide variety of age-defying services. Each event will be presented by a different company and will feature a new product. All open houses are free and open to the public.
The spa boutique events will take place on Nov. 2, 6, 8, 15, and 29.  A representative from various product lines will meet guests, conduct a live demonstration and highlight the features and benefits of their anti-aging lines.

Classic Car and Truck Show – St Augustine, Florida

Rev up your weekend Friday, Nov. 2 – Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007 at the 6th Annual St. Augustine Cruisers’ Car and Truck Show at the St. Johns County Fairgrounds. Not only can you see all years, makes and models of vehicles, there will be live entertainment, games, music, food and more. Vehicle registration starts at 8 a.m. and all vehicles will be available for viewing until 4 p.m.

27th Annual Lincolnville Festival – St. Augustine, Fla

decorative cornCelebrate St. Augustine’s rich African-American cultural heritage at the 27th annual Lincolnville Festival. One of the city’s oldest neighborhoods, more than half of Lincolnville’s buildings date from the late 19th century. Funds raised from the festival will be used for exhibits at the Fort Mose Museum. The festival kicks-off on Friday with live R&B music, food, and arts and crafts. Then on Saturday, there will be narrated tours of historic Lincolnville featuring the civil rights movement sites in the area, live country/pop, jazz and dance music all day with more arts and crafts and a “Soul Food Contest”. On Sunday, the day’s entertainment features gospel music and more food. The Lincolnville Festival is free and takes place on Granada and Washington Streets.Friday, Nov. 2 – Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007. Gardens at the Zoo – Jacksonville, Florida
