Kayak Fishing Trip – St Marys, Georgia

Kayak to a nearby sandbar at low tide to fish for trout, reds, flounder and whiting. Catch and release only. Poles and bait will be provided. Tricking Fish; How and Why Lures Work – St. Augustine, Florida

Learn about the tricks to fishing with lures at the Tricking Fish exhibit from the Bell Museum of Natural History, University of Minnesota. This exhibit at St. Augustine Lighthouse and Museumuses photographs, illustrations, and hands-on objects to provide observant anglers with insights into their quarry. For those interested in wild creatures, the exhibit shows how fish adapt to face a world full of predators. The exhibit at the St. Augustine Lighthouse and Museum is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. is included in the general admission to the lighthouse.

Clean Up – Beach Sweep/River Sweep – Charleston, South Carolina

Beach Sweep/River Sweep is the largest one-day litter cleanup of South Carolina’s beaches and waterways. Last year, nearly 3,000 South Carolinians from the mountains, through the midlands, to the coast collected over 11 tons of trash from our waterways.
Sea GrantThis year’s Sweep will be held on Saturday, September 15th from 9am-noon. The event is organized by S.C. Sea Grant Consortium in partnership with S.C. Department of Natural Resources.
