Taste of Charleston BoonehallThe plantation will showcase 50 of Charleston and the Low Country’s finest restaurants.

Of course, there will be lots of delicious food at the event. Other attractions include: “The Waiter’s Race” – local servers racing on an obstacle course while carrying a tray with wine and two glasses, The “Culinary Corner”, featuring local chefs preparing signature dishes, a Beer and Wine Tasting, live music and children’s activities.

Proceeds will benefit Ronald McDonald House, Hollings Cancer Center and Charleston County Materials Resource Center.

FoodFest 2007 – Hiltonhead Island, South Carolina

More than 4,000 visitors attended this popular event last year and the number is expected to increase this year.
Food Fest 2007
Some of the activites include; Best Bartenders Drink Making Contest, The Hospitable Waiters Race, and the Tailgate Gourmet Challenge. Here local chefs showcase their culinary talents at the outdoor tailgate kitchen. Other events include “Cooking with Books.”, hosted by the Beufort lirary and “Marshside: What’s for dinner?” hosted by The Coastal Discovery Museum.

The FoodFest 2007 schedule includes events transpiring at individual food establishments and at the festival’s central location of Shelter Cove Community Park on Hilton Head Island.

Good Things on Broad and Gallery Row on Historic Broad are collaborating to start a “ First Friday’s On Broad” The first Friday of every month, the galleries, studios and boutiques will be open in the evenings until 8 pm.
