Hosted by Summerville D.R.E.A.M., the Red, White and Blue on the Green is Summerville’s Fourth of July Celebration complete with games, activities, contests and good old fashioned fun. This year’s festival will be held on Friday, July 4 from 4 to 7 p.m. in Downtown Summerville. Booths and activities include a watermelon eating contest, a seed spittin’ contest (yes, your mother might let you spit just this once), a hot dog eating contest, jump castles, dunking booths with your favorite local celebrities and tons of summer-time concessions! The Quest for the Official Summerville Fourth of July Hotdog
Put your thinking caps on because Summerville D.R.E.A.M. (Downtown Restoration, Enhancement and Management) and P-Dogs have issued a quest to name one of America’s favorite foods! In celebration of the Fourth of July, we are looking to you to name and create the official Red, White and Blue on the Green Festival hotdog.
Get up close and personal with 35 renowned artists from across the country as they present their fine art sculpture in Summerville’s Azalea Park. Discover a broad range of original sculpture from Western to wildlife, awe-inspiring to abstract. Artists demonstrate techniques and processes that show how sculpture is created. Award-winning SC barbecue served from the outdoor grill. Proceeds from this tenth annual exhibit and sale benefit public sculpture acquisition for Summerville.
