5th Annual Flagler College Beach Blast

Saint Augustine, FL – The 5th Annual Beach Blast held on March 30, 2008 is the kick off of the spring for Flagler College and hundreds of people who come out to the St. Augustine Pier and Pavilion to enjoy this year’s event. The Sport Management Department’s Facility and Event management class will present the community event for all to participate.

This year’s event will be the best ever. The featuring events include a 5K Beach Run, a 2 on 2 team surf contest and a 4-on-4 co-ed volleyball tournament. The popular “Kidz Korner” will have a bounce house, face painting, and many more activities for kids.

This event takes place at St. Johns Pier and Pavilion, St Augustine Fl.

Free Admission to the Lighthouse during the Festival – St Augustine, Florida

16TH ANNUAL LIGHTHOUSE FESTIVAL & MICHELOB ULTRA 5K at  St. Augustine Lighthouse and Museumtakes place on Saturday, Mar. 15, 2008. Bring your family and join the fun when admission to the tower, grounds, and museum is free from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The historic Light Station will offer something for everyone, including local musicians and entertainers throughout the day, special games and crafts for children, food, living history portrayals, pony rides, terrestrial and maritime archaeology activities, contests and much more. Tour de Georgia Start – Tybee Island, Georgia

From the salty marshes and ocean shoreline of the Georgia coast to the majestic skyline of the Blue Ridge Mountains, 12 Georgia communities have been selected as the official Host Venues for the sixth annual Tour de Georgia, scheduled in April. The Tour de Georgia is a seven-day professional race and maintains its position on the international cycling calendar as a major tune-up for July’s Tour de France. The Tour de Georgia continues to be the longest weeklong stage race in North America with over 650 miles of scenic byways and highways across the state. It is also one of the highest ranked stage races outside of Europe with a 2.HC rating from the Union Cycliste Internationale (international governing body of cycling) and is on of the top races on the USA Professional Cycling Tour.
