Lowcountry Race for the Cure – Daniel Island, S.C.

The Foundation’s largest and most popular event is the Race for the Cure®. Started as one local 5K (3.1 miles) race, this event has grown to be a national series of 110+ races in cities around the nation. The Race is one of the nation’s top 5K races and would not be possible without the 75,000+ volunteers and respective race committees that help put this event together.

Hunter Spouses’ Club Honor, Strength, Courage Golf Classic – Savannah, GA

The Hunter Spouses’ Club will hold the Honor, Strength & Courage Golf Tournament Saturday, October 13, 2007. The event will be a fundraiser to benefit the Scholarship and Welfare funds. Tournament play will be a scramble format six holes best ball, six holes select shot, six holes alternate shot, and will begin with an 8:00am shotgun start on Saturday Oct 13th.

Celebrity guests scheduled to appear include KIX96 Jim Dixon and Golf Channel Reality Show star, Mike Foster.

Enmark Savannah River Bridge Run – Savannah, GA

The Run will be Dec. 1 in downtown Savannah. There will be a 5K run/walk, 10K run, a double-pump race, the Critz 10K team challenge, a costume contest and a 1/4-mile kiddie run. Packet pickup and Fleet Feet Sports Expo will be 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Nov. 30, at the Savannah Civic Center. Registration is $22 through Nov. 18; $26 Nov. 19-29; $30 Nov. 30. Hilton Head Hosts its Largest Golf Tournament Ever in October – Hilton Head Island, S.C

Hilton Head Island will host its largest golf tournament ever when the Amateur Golf Tour conducts its 2007 National Championship in late October reports Worldgolf.com.

Approximately 600 golfers will meet up on the island Oct. 27-28 for the tour’s national finals. The championship will take place on a half dozen courses, including Palmetto Dunes Resort, Port Royal Plantation and Oyster Reef Golf Club among others.
