The Amelia Island Jazz Festival will once again light up the island on October 7 – 14, 2012. The week-long festival consists of a series of events celebrating this diverse all-American art form. Multiple Grammy Award nominated jazz-fusion artists Spyro Gyra and contemporary pianist David Benoit are set to headline the 2012 Amelia Island Jazz Festival. The hugely successful group Spyro Gyra, which has sold over ten million albums since its 1977 inception, will perform on Saturday, October 13, 2012, at the Omni Resorts Amelia Island Plantation.
The creative director, Les deMerle, has again attracted world-class jazz artists in a wide variety of styles to the event. Festival goers can enjoy a wide variety of jazz from Dixieland, Smooth Jazz, Bebop, Big Band, Blues, Latin and to new, state-of-the-art styles.Â

October 7, free Jazz in the Park concert with the popular 18-piece US Navy Band Southeast. 4 – 6 pm at Amelia Park, Between 14th and Citrona Drive – Fernandina Beach.
October 10, Red, White and Blues at Sandy Bottoms. The Eric Culberson Blues Band from Savannah, GA will be performing. Concert & Wine Tasting.
October 12, David Benoit in concert.
October 13, Spyro Gyra.
October 14, Jazz  Brunch.
