The Halifax Oyster Festival is scheduled to be held on April 30, 2011 at Manatee Island Park in downtown Daytona Beach, Florida. The festival will be held from 10am until 6pm, rain or shine. This event is a must for oyster lovers on the coast because here you will find oysters in all shapes and forms. There will be fresh, raw oysters, steamed oysters and even specialty oyster dishes. The Halifax Oyster Festival is non-profit. The goal of the event is for festival goers to be able to enjoy a full day packed with good fun, delicious food, live music and cold beer while at the same time supporting local oyster bed restoration.
Country music star, Eric Lee Beddingfield, is scheduled to perform. There will also be lots of fun oyster contests and much more at the event.Entry to the festival is $5 dollars per person, children are free. When you pay your entry fee you will receive a gift card worth five dollars to any of our participating restaurants after the event.
