Every year downtown storefront windows come alive and are decorated by local artists, designers and businesses for the holiday season.
This year, the holiday windows will be unveiled on November 22 and will be on display until January 2, 2011. Celebrate the Holiday, Celebrate Downtown guides, with complete information on downtown holiday activities, will also be distributed.
Last year thousands of visitors came to the downtown area to view the holiday windows showcasing the creativity of Jacksonville’s artists, schools and businesses. This year is the third year for the event. The Holiday Window Display Project will provide the Jacksonville community an opportunity to experience art at no cost.
