Jacksonville Caribbean Carnival is bringing the Caribbean to Jacksonville
The parade takes place on Saturday, September 15, 2012.
Caribbean Style Mardi Gras Parade
from 1pm at Corner, Bay & Market Streets
The festive parade begins at corner of Bay & Market Streets and proceeds to Metropolitan Park for the Food, Craft and Music Festival. Dance along with the parade to the festival in Metropolitan park.
The parade showcases colorful costumes, dancing, and the sounds of calypso, reggae, salsa, soca and steel drums can be heard throughout downtown.

At Metropolitan Park you can taste all kinds of great Caribbean foods, stroll vendor booths with artwork, listen to music and much more. The festival also features a stage show featuring live Caribbean music and cultural performances.
Tickets: $10.00, children under 12 FREE.
The first Jacksonville Carnival “On The Beach” was held on Saturday 13th October 2000 at the Jacksonville Beach Seawalk Pavilion. The festival was first known as Jacksonville Carnival “On The Beach”.
Now the festival change its name to the Jacksonville Caribbean Carnival and moved downtown to Hemming Plaza in 2003 and later to its current location Metropolitan Park where the Caribbean Festival has been held since 2005. Each year the carnival gets bigger and more colorful, make sure you don’t miss the parade!
