The Savannah College of Art and Design presents the 12th annual International Festival Saturday, April 7, 2012 from 11 a.m.-3.30 p.m., on Broughton Street between Lincoln and Abercorn streets in Savannah.Â
The International Festival features traditional music, dance, art and food to celebrate the diversity of SCAD’s international arts community. Among the festival highlights are performances by DJ Omar Richardson, ReggaeInfinity and Mystik NRG. Other events include appearances by SCAD’s Global Fashion Showcase, Ayoluwa African Dance Theatre Inc., Hac Long Duong Lion Dance Troupe, and SCAD’s Drumline. Arts and crafts will be available for purchase.
Visitors also have the chance to taste cuisine from around the world. Participating restaurants providing samples for a minimal cost include Casbah Moroccan Restaurant, Sushi Zen, Taste of India, Ruan Thai Cuisine and Middle Eastern Cuisine.
The event is free and open to the public.
