Tybee Island Festival of the Arts

Due to unforeseen circumstances

the Annual Festival of the Arts has been

postponed until 2012 

according to the festival’s website. 

 

 

The 14th Annual Tybee Festival of The Arts will be held October 16 – 17, 2010.  The event is sponsored by The City of Tybee and Tybee Arts Association and will be held for the second time at the South beach parking lot under the large tent right by the Atlantic Ocean. This festival is held “Rain or Shine”, Free and is open to the public.

Tybee Island is home for many artists and known for its large selection of galleries. The Festival of the Arts is where both regional and local artists come to show case their work. This year the Show will include about 40 artists from Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida and Tennessee. As usual a wide variety of art will be showcased at the festival; Jewelry, Oil, Oil and wax, Mixed Media, Photography, Glass, Pottery and ceramics, Water color, Copper art, Metal craft, Carbon steel, Clay sculpture, Wood and Beach artifacts and Aluminum wire…just to mention few.
There will also be live music at the event.
