Arts & Seafood Festival
The 6th annual Historic Bluffton Arts & Seafood Festival takes place October 17-24, 2010. Discover “Where Fine Art & the Bounty of The Sea Come Together,” during this week long event filled with local seafood, delicious Low country cuisine, amazing artists, live music and entertainment, fishing tournament, boat tours, children’s activities, fireworks and much more.
Blessing of the Fleet and Gospel Music
The festivities begin on the May River with the Blessing of the Fleet and Boat Parade at 2 pm at historic Church of the Cross on Sunday, October 18. Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy the Gospel Music on the bluff or join the parade in your own boat.
Art Around Town
Monday October 18 focuses on art events around town. There is a Tour & Oyster Roast at Waddell Mariculture Center at 5:30 PM, and other art events at Pluff Mudd Gallery on Calhoun Street all day.
By Shrimp Boat or Kayak
On Tuesday you can take a tour on the May river by kayak, or enjoy a shrimp boat tour. Art events at Maye River Gallery on Calhoun Street all day.
Wednesday, October 20, is author night and then on Thursday October 21, it’s time for BLUFFTON 5K OYSTER RUN KICK-OFF PARTY, Friday more art event and then on Saturday we get ready for the big event weekend.
Art & Seafood Street Fest
On Saturday October 23, the art & seafood street festival opens with over 70 artists showing their work, also lots of food vendors and other fun. There is live music and entertainment on stage, a 5K run, and boat tours. In the evening it’s time for Rocking at the Dock on the Bluffton Oyster Company from 5:30 pm to dusk.
The Art & Seafood Street fest is open on Sunday 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.
