Lowcountry Blues Bash

This annual event returns to Charleston  February 3 – 19, 2011. Let’s just say that blues is taking over Charleston for 17 days, with  50 acts, 93 shows at 25 different venues around town.

Some of the highlights include:
Two mega rock stars with big blues roots happen – Robert Plant and Robin Trower –  are playing in Charleston during the Lowcountry Blues Bash. Robert Plant of course was the frontman for Led Zeppelin, whose forays into blues-rock have inspired several generations.  Robin Trower began his s began his storied career  toried career with Procol Harum, one of the greatest UK bands ever. Other names worth mentioning – Eric Culberson, Doug Deming, Drink Small, Frankie’s Blues Mission from Atlanta and many, many more.
