Restaurant Week South Carolina is a celebration of the state’s famous cuisine. Many chefs and restaurants in the state are known internationally for their culinary skills and creations. Charleston is becoming a hub of activity with big food festivals throughout the year such as Taste of Charleston, BBT Wine + Food Festival and the Oyster Festival at Boone Hall Plantation to just mention a few.
The Restaurant Week event lasts for seven days in January 14 – 22, 2011 and features many different restaurants. Restaurant Week South Carolina focuses on the areas of Charleston, Columbia, Greenville, Hilton Head, and Myrtle Beach.
This promotional event was first launched in 2010 by the South Carolina Hospitality Association in partnership with local chapters and tourism partners, .
The special restaurant week dinner menus and prices are determined at the discretion of each participating restaurant. Most restaurants offer a special multi-course, fixed price menu.
