4th of July Boat Parade

Murrels Inlet 4th of july boat parade
Murrells Inlet, South Carolina

One of the best ways to celebrate the Fourth of July is with a parade. In Murrells Inlet, SC, the nation’s big day is celebrated with a very special kind of parade — a boat parade. This is one of the most popular events in South Carolina.

The boat parade starts at 10 am on July 4, 2012, from Garden City Point. This year’s parade theme is “Red, White & View!  Inlet-style Tried and True.” The participating boats will be decorated according to the theme. The parade will head over to the Murrells Inlet Marshwalk and then follow  shoreline to the Hot Fish Club.  Some of the best public viewing points are the Marshwalk, Belin Methodist Church, Nance’s Restaurant, Captain Pooh’s Restaurant and the Hot Fish Club.

No celebration is complete without fireworks. Murrell’s Inlet has some of the best fireworks around. The fireworks are shot off from the end of the Veterans Pier, is scheduled to start at 10:00 pm.
