Believe it or not, but there is a Sweet Potato Festival in Darlington, South Carolina on October 8, 2010 – October 9, 2010. This is the longest-running festival in Darlington County.
The festival has been held here since 1983. Now the Sweet Potato Festival attracts more than 17,000 people every year. Attractions include games for the children, crafts, music, live entertainment, a car show and plenty of food, including sweet potato pie!
