It’s time again for the annual MOJA Arts Festival in Charleston. This is a celebration of African-American and Caribbean Arts. Nearly half of MOJA’s events are admission-free and the remainder are offered at very modest ticket prices. The upcoming festival is scheduled for September 24 – October 4, 2009.
The MOJA Arts Festival includes visual arts, classical music, dance, gospel, jazz, poetry, R&B music, storytelling, theatre, children’s activities, traditional crafts, ethnic food, and much, much more. In addition of a wide variety of presentations, MOJA also includes an educational outreach programs in the public schools and senior outreach in senior citizen homes.
