St Patrick’s Day Cocktails

Get your green on – and put on your party hat. Invite your best friends over and have your own Irish celebration. Everyone is Irish on March 17th!
Guiness and whiskey should be the drinks of choice, but for those who are not big fans of either – here are two ideas. Imbibe ‘till you’re green in the face with these St. Paddy’s Day themed cocktails from Three Olives Vodka and 1800 Tequila.

Lucky-tini

2 oz. Three-O Grape Vodka
1 oz. Melon Liqueur
Splash of Pineapple Juice

Shake with ice and strain into a martini glass
Garnish with an orange slice

The Shamrocker

1 oz. 1800 Silver Tequila
1 oz. Melon Liqueur
1/2 oz. Triple Sec
Splash of Orange Juice

Mix with ice, and garnish with an orange slice

Tequila aficionados on the coast rejoice! I have found the perfect excuse for a party – July 24 is National Tequila Day. Forget the shots, and explore the wide range of flavors offered from silky chocolate to spicy pepper. Take this opportunity to impress your friends with your mixology skills.

In the olden days, I think we would refer to it as “bartender skills”. Remember Tom Cruise and that Australian guy in the movie “Cocktail”?
Nowadays the real experts in the field are called “mixologists”.

The cocktail recipes below is sure to be a hit with your friends. Plus, there’s no need to pretend to be a cool Tom Cruise and throw bottles in the air or pour drinks behind your back. I’m sure you’re better half is going to be appreciate that too.

Remember, presentation is 25% – the rest is in taste. And with that, we’re ending my mixology lesson for the day.

National Tequila Day Cocktail Recipes

Here are two tasty cocktail recipes to make your Tequila Day party a success.

Passion Caipirinha

Passion Caipirinha

1 oz. 1800 Select Silver
1 oz. Passion fruit juice
1 oz. Agave Nectar
5 Muddled Limes
Drizzle of Raspberry liquor

Muddle limes and agave nectar in the bottom of a mixing glass. Add ice and all other ingredients besides the raspberry liquor. Shake and pour contents into a rocks glass and drizzle with the raspberry liquor.

Perfect Pear Margarita

1 oz. 1800 Silver Tequila
.25 oz. Pear Puree
.25 oz. Fresh lime juice
.25 oz. Agave nectar
Splash of Chambord

Combine first four ingredients in a cocktail shake with ice. Shake vigorously and pour into a lightly salted high ball glass. Float with Chambord for a drizzle effect.

Fourth of July CocktailsRoman Candle

3 oz. Three-O Berry Vodka

½ Oz. Cranberry Juice

Dash of Grenadine

½ oz. Blue Curacao
Shake vodka, cranberry juice and grenadine in a shaker with ice. Strain into martini glass. Pour Blue Curaçao gently down the side of the glass so it comes to settle on the bottom.

The Sparkler 4th of July cocktailsSparkler

1 oz. Three-O Pomegranate Vodka

2 oz. Sparkling Wine

Splash POM Wonderful Pomegranate Juice

Combine vodka and pomegranate juice in the bottom of a champagne flute

Top with sparkling wine or champagne

Fire Cracker 4th of July cocktailsFire Cracker

2 oz. Three-O Grape Vodka

½ oz. Blue Curacao

Splash Tonic

Shake vodka and blue curacao with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass

Add tonic and garnish with a cherry

1 ½ oz. Three-O Cherry Vodka

4 oz. Ginger Ale

Splash of grenadine

Mix in a glass filled with ice and garnish with a cherry

Great Cocktails for Memorial Day Weekend

Many of us have friends or family coming to town for Memorial Day weekend. For many of us a cold beer is a Memorial Day staple and works well with your barbeque or picnic. But some of us opt for a party in the backyard for the weekend, and these cocktail recipes could come in handy if you want to try something different. Just get ready to shake things up and impress the in-laws or your friends with more than just your bocce ball skills.

Here are some refreshing summer cocktails everyone will enjoy.


1800 Tequini

¾ oz. 1800 Silver Tequila
½ oz. Dry Vermouth

Stir with ice, strain into martini glass, garnish with a lime

Blue Keys
3 oz. Three-O Citrus Vodka
½ oz. Blue Curacao
1 oz. Lemonade

Shake with ice and strain into a martini glass
Garnish with a lemon wedge

Cherry Temple
1 ½ oz. Three-O Cherry Vodka
4 oz. Ginger Ale
Splash of grenadine

Mix in a glass filled with ice and garnish with a cherry
