Art Walk in Jacksonville Florida on March 4th, 2009

Many cities on the coast have an self-guided art walk during the first week of the month, and Jacksonville, Florida is no different. The event takes place downtown Jacksonville in about a six block radius. This is a great opportunity to explore the local art scene, to people watch and have a great time out on the town. The Art Walk in Jacksonville happens on the first Wednesday of the month.

Florida Winery Wins Again

ST. AUGUSTINE, FL – The San Sebastian Winery of St. Augustine, FL and Lakeridge Winery of Clermont, FL have done it again! Winning a total of fifteen awards at the 21st Annual International Wine and Juice Competition held at the Florida State Fair; both wineries continue to demonstrate the success they have enjoyed since their first entry at the Florida State Fair back in 1988.

Taking home the gold were two of San Sebastian’s top selling wines, Port, their top selling dessert wine and Vintners White their second top selling table wine. Coming in a close second and winning the silver were San Sebastian’s Vintners Red, Blanc De Fleur, and Cream Sherry and Lakeridge’s Southern White and Blanc Du Bois. Achieving the bronze are San Sebastian’s Stover Reserve, Blanc Du Bois, and Castillo Red and Lakeridge’s Crescendo Special Reserve, Blanc Du Bois, Chablis, Stover Reserve, and Cuvee Blanc.

Both San Sebastian Winery and Lakeridge Winery offer complimentary tours and wine tastings seven days a week. Oscar Party in Jacksonville

Jacksonville Film Events, the presenters of the Jacksonville International Film Festival is proud to announce it’s 3rd annual Oscar Viewing Party taking place February 22nd 2009 at the newly renovated FIVE POINTS Theatre – 1028 Park Street in Jacksonville Florida. Nocatee Farmers Market is now open from Noon until 4 pm.You don’t need to worry about missing out on lunch. Instead, come hungry and enjoy pulled BBQ, local crab cakes, British meat pies, hummus or tabouli, and much, much more.

Vendors will setup at the roundabout at Crosswater Parkway and Preservation Trail (take County Road 210/Nocatee Parkway east from US 1 or west from A1A to the intersection of Crosswater Parkway and travel south. The market will be on the left side of the roundabout).
