The city of Savannah welcomes the holiday season with a boat parade on Saturday November 28th, 2009. kopf The Savannah River will be filled with lighted boats, holiday decorated boats and more boats! Get into the holiday spirit and come and look for the best lit vessel and pick your favorite. The beautiful parade navigates up the river and then along historic River Street and Rousakis Plaza. The WTOC Lighting of the Tree Ceremony begins at 6pm in Morrell Park and is followed by the Lighted Flotilla!

This time of year you can enjoy special entertainment at Marion Square with children’s choirs, church choirs, gospel, classical, folk, storytelling, and other entertainment audiences at Marion Square.
Your kids can bring their wish lists to the North Pole mailbox and visit with Santa, Mrs. Claus, and their Elf assistants in the magically decorated park.

Get on board with a Lowcountry holiday tradition as this display of lighted and festive boats proceeds through the Charleston Harbor, culminating in a brilliant reworks display. The Daniel Island Holiday Festival returns to the Family Circle Cup Tennis Center this holiday season – great holiday shopping, entertaining performances and tons of food and beverages.

Christmas Tree Lighting & Character Dinner – Amelia Island, FL

At 5:30 p.m. the Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island will hold their Annual Christmas Tree Lighting, complete with refreshments, music and of course a visit by Santa Claus. The celebration will be followed by a Holiday Character Dinner with Santa at 6:30 p.m., elves reindeer and other holiday characters in a dinner certain to entertain the entire family.
