October 13, 2008 by Susanne Talentino

Coastal Discovery Museum to hold 9th Annual Community Festival
The 9th Annual Community Festival will be held at Honey Horn on Friday, October 24th and Saturday, October 25th, from 5:30 – 9:30 p.m.

This family oriented festival will feature a haunted trail in the haunted forest presented by the Hilton Head Rotary Club and the Interact Clubs from Hilton Head High School. There always is something new that the students add to this ever expanding event! There will be inflatable rides for all ages and games, including a soccer arena with a giant ball, an obstacle course and many more. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be cooked by the Hilton Head Fire Fighters Association; with beer, wine and soft drinks available. The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Department will be on hand with the Ident-A-Kid program both evenings and on Saturday night they will have the canine unit and traffic units on hand. The Society of Lowcountry Magicians will be on hand Saturday only for performances at 6:30 and 8:00 p.m. in the Mary Ann Peeples pavilion as part of the festival.

Admission to the festival is $10.00 per vehicle and you will receive $5.00 worth of tickets for food and activities. Admission for Museum members is free, with individual tickets available for purchase of food, beverages and activities.
