The Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens 22nd annual fall festival, Spooktacular comes to Jacksonville, Fl. on October 22-25 and 29-31 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Come to Jacksonville Zoo to experience the land of Pumpkinville come alive with hundreds of fancy pumpkins, candy and fun during the magical Spooktacular event.
This is a merry, not scary, premier Halloween event for the whole family. New for 2009 is the Pharaoh’s Tomb, featuring a funny mummy, and the Abandoned Mine Shaft. In additional, the festival has a Pirate’s Cove with seafaring men and women who fend off alligators.
Dress in your favorite costume and enjoy trick-or-treating, music, dancing, a giant slide, bounce houses and much more. You can also have your photo taken with Jazoo or one his friends and visit with the Pumpkinville People, scarecrows, frog prince, fairies and many more.
Spooktacular is the Zoo’s largest fundraiser, with all proceeds benefiting the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens and going to the care and feeding of the animals. Admission is $8 for members and $9 for non-members, and children under 3 are free. Children also receive a free glow-in-the-dark necklace with paid admission.
