Meet the author of “Backstage with Julia: My Years With Julia Child” – Savannah, GA

Nancy Verde Barr, executive chef and close friend of Julia Child for more than 20 years, will sign copies of her newly released book, “Backstage with Julia: My Years With Julia Child.” This event is sponsored by St. Peter’s Episcopal Church,Tickets: $40 per person. Kayak Fishing Trip – St Marys, Georgia

Kayak to a nearby sandbar at low tide to fish for trout, reds, flounder and whiting. Catch and release only. Poles and bait will be provided. Read, launched nationally in 2006 by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), in partnership with the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and Arts Midwest, encourages literary reading by asking communities to come together to read and discuss a single book.
