Thanksgiving parades, just like football, turkey and the pumpkin pie, can’t be done away with if we are talking Thanksgiving ! Elaborate parades featuring huge floats, musical extravaganza and star-studded entertainment shows on Thanksgiving are regular features of the Thanksgiving holiday and are marked by great pomp and grandeur. Thanksgiving weekend is the time to get the whole family together and have some fun. The weekend also marks the beginning of the holiday season. We have come up with a list of things suitable for both young and old, perfect if you have guests visiting for the holidays and you’re near the city of Savannah.

On Saturday November 24th , start out by visiting the Southern Lights Children’s Activities. This event takes place from 3:00 – 5:00 pm on November 24th, right before the WTOC Tree Lighting Ceremony. Here you can enjoy holiday treats, arts and crafts, cookie decorating and tons of activities for kids.
