Holiday Fun on Saturday December 6th in Charleston, SC

December 3, 2008 by Susanne Talentino

Turn this Saturday December 6th into an action-packed, all out holiday extravaganza in Charleston. Start off the holiday season at Marion Square with a holiday farmers market, visit with Santa, Tree Lighting Ceremony and follow it up with a traditional boat parade and fireworks. It’ll be a full day of holiday fun for the whole family.
Maybe you could even pack a picnic and bring a thermos of hot cocoa for the kids for the boat parade!

Holiday Farmers Market & Visits with Santa
Start out the weekend with a visit at the Farmers Markets at Marion Square.
Here you’ll find everything you need to decorate for the holidays, and a lot of other goodies. Natural wreaths, fresh greenery, special breads and baked goods, Christmas cookies, and of course fresh vegetables. There are also plenty of arts and crafts and beautiful handmade items. Maybe you could find that perfect gift. It’s also a perfect place to find a great breakfast or lunch.

This time of year you can enjoy special entertainment at Marion Square with children’s choirs, church choirs, gospel, classical, folk, storytelling, and other entertainment audiences at Marion Square.
Your kids can bring their wish lists to the North Pole mailbox and visit with Santa, Mrs. Claus, and their Elf assistants in the magically decorated park.
