JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA
Jacksonville is the largest city in the state of Florida in terms of both population and land area. The city is located on the First Coast, on the banks of the St. Johns River. This is why Jacksonville is often called “The River City”. You are never far away from water when you’re in Jacksonville. The city is named after Andrew Jackson, the first military governor of the Florida Territory and seventh President of the United States. Jacksonville facilitates two U.S. Navy bases and the Port of Jacksonville, Florida’s third largest seaport.
