World’s Largest One-Day Running Event
Our San Marco store will host The Human Race 10K at on Sunday, August 31st at 8 AM. This is a Fun Run and not an actual race. We will have a nice 10K course laid out with a couple of water stops. Refreshments and water will be availabe at the start and finish of the event. The fun run and walk will be along side walks, back roads, and the Riverwalk. We will have drawings for prizes an a social after the run. You can register at nikeplus.com if you want to support one of the official charites and/or download your run information after the race.

Bonjour Monsieur Shlomi is screened by the Jewish Community Alliance in Mandarin.16-year-old Shlomi is keeping the peace in his turbulent and dysfunctional working class family. “Bonjour Monsieur Shlomi” was an official selection at the Seattle International Film Festival and the Palm Springs International Film Festival. Owners of Jacksonville Jaguars give $150,000 to help St. Johns River

Team owners Wayne and Delores Barr Weaver announced that they will donate as much as $150,000 to St. Johns Riverkeeper organization, reports Orlando Sentinel. St. Johns Riverkeeper is an environmental group working for clean and healthy water in the St. Johns River, its tributaries and its wetlands, through citizen-based advocacy. The large donation and the support from the Jacksonville Jaguars is a great boost for the organization. (click here to read the article)
